We created a multi-sensory carol for Great Ormond Street Hospital
Some Voices choir has helped to create a multi-sensory carol mash up to raise funds for Great Ormond Street Hopsital (GOSH) and create a shared experience that can be enjoyed by everyone this Christmas.
Appropriately titled Sign of the Season, the carol uses Makaton, British Sign Language (BSL) and body percussion. To create the carol, we teamed up with Strictly Come Dancing celebrity choreographer Sean Moon and Gogglebox’s Tom Malone along with the UK’s top sign-singer Fletch, Premier Inn, and some utterly amazing children and young people supported by GOSH.
Everyone came together on Sunday 28th November 2021 to create and film a performance to remember. Thank you to choir members (pictured from left to right) Rebecca Mills, Becci Hodson, Laura Ridley, Nick Heywood, Alex Sultoon, Emily Barker, Georgia Harris, Kathy O’Reilly, Liz Went and Fiona Lindley and our fabulous leader Alice Morgan, as well as Musical Director Laura Howe who created the arrangement and the Event Manager Louise Taor.
