SOME VOICES is dedicated to protecting your privacy online, so we‘ve developed our Privacy Policy to let you know how your personal information is being treated whether you’re a choir member, interested in booking us for an event, or fancy seeing over 800 singers performing Prince and Bowie live.
All personal information provided by you to us will be handled in accordance with the principles of the Data Protection Act 1998, soon to be the new General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and our Privacy Policy set out below.

How we process your personal data
Personal data about you will only be collected when you contact us via our email addresses and/or www.somevoices.co.uk regarding event bookings, joining one of our choirs or enquiring about our live productions. We will most likely request your name, email address and telephone number so that we can respond to your request. We will never ask you for your card details and won’t ever collect additional information about you from other sources, such as public records or bodies, or private organisations.
The personal information you supply when joining one of our email lists will be used by us to keep you up-to-date with Some Voices events and activities. If agreed, this personal information will be held on our secure system and used for operational purposes only and at no point be passed or transferred onto a third-party.
We may use your personal data to communicate with you, provide information to you and provide contact details of third-party providers at your request, such as ticket purchasing websites for our live productions but contact with third-party providers will be at your own discretion. We will only send you emails or other marketing information if you have expressed a wish for us to do so, or it is relevant to your membership.
We may also use your telephone number and/or email address to follow up your requests and from time to time, and for market research or survey purposes. We will always give you the opportunity to opt-out of this activity.
Please be aware that on occasion we may use a marketing platform to send out communications via email. Some partners currently store email addresses from our database and may transfer data outside of EEA but we ensure that we only use third-party partners who safeguard your personal information.

Some information we ask you to provide via the Equal Opportunities Form is “sensitive personal data” and is there for voluntary and anonymous. We ask you to agree to this information being kept for equal opportunities monitoring purposes to assess the effectiveness of our equal opportunities and diversity efforts. This information will not be seen by interview panels (in the case of a job application). Monitoring reports from this Equal Opportunities form only uses data in an anonymised form (so you cannot be identified from it) and are only shared within relevant internal functions.

We take every precaution to protect your information. All personal data stored by Some Voices Ltd is kept in a secure environment that only employees of Some Voices Ltd are granted access to – the minimum of which they will need in order to perform that specific job.
Regular security reviews are held by us to ensure that the site remains safe and secure for your protection.
Our website www.somevoices.co.uk contains a links to third-party websites, such as ticketing platforms, not owned by us. If you click on a third-party link, you will automatically be taken away from the Some Voices Ltd website. When you access a third-party website, please understand that we don’t control its content and are not responsible for its privacy practices.
Access rights to your personal data
Under the Data Protection Act 1998 and most recently the new EU laws under GDPR, we must provide you with a readable copy of all personal data held about you within 40 days of receiving your written request for access. In this case, you’ll need to provide us with proof of identity such as a copy of your passport, driving license, or a current bill.
It’s in the interest of both you and Some Voices to store and process accurate information. At your request or on our own initiative, we will replenish, rectify or erase any incomplete, inaccurate or outdated personal data.

Surveys and Promotions
Every now and again we may conduct surveys and promotions. Participation in anything like this is entirely voluntary and you always have a choice whether or not to disclose any information which might be required or asked for. We may also ask you whether you would like to receive promotional emails from us about our other services but you are under no obligation to accept this contact from us.

Web statistics about visits to our site are collected automatically. This information helps us understand browsing preferences so that we can improve our website accordingly.
