Some Voices is a non-audition, contemporary choir that believes singing is for everyone! 

All voices are welcome - no auditions or experience needed. Join us to learn original arrangements of songs that you love, and be part of a community who love to make music together.

If you’re new to Some Voices, you’ll be able to try out your first rehearsal for free. Hooray!

CHELMSFORD REHEARSAL DETAILS

WHERE: St Cedd's Hall
Chapter House, Cathedral Walk, Chelmsford CM1 1NX

WHEN: Tuesdays, 7:00-8:30pm.

ACCESSIBILITY: Fully accessible.

PUBLIC TRANSPORT: 5 minute walk from Chelmsford train station.

TERM DATES:  The year is split into 3 terms - Spring (January to April) / Summer (May to July) / Winter (September to December) - with 10 rehearsals each term, plus a half-term break in the middle. You can join at any point in the term if there are places available.

YOUR LEADER - JAVIER VILARINO

Javier Vilariño is a Spanish-Australian baritone known for his diverse and vibrant performances across opera, musical theatre, and concert stages. A graduate of the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, his stage roles have included Sid in Albert Herring, Orpheus in Les Malheurs d’Orphée, and Don Alfonso in Così fan tutte. He has worked with prominent companies like Opera Australia, where he performed in productions of Carmen and Così fan tutte.

Javier was a guest entertainer on cruise ships, showcasing a blend of opera and musical theatre. Currently based in London, he continues to perform and teach, and host concerts for the Songhaven dementia-friendly music initiative.
