SOME VOICES SHOREDITCH CHOIR

Some Voices Shoreditch rehearsals are held at
St Matthew's Church
St Matthew's Row, Bethnal Green, E2 6DT

Sessions are every Monday from 7pm-8.30pm.

Each term is 10 weeks long and costs £110. Winter Term starts 16 September 2024.

Travel: 10-15 minute walk from Liverpool Street Station (suitable for wheelchair users) Shoreditch High Street (suitable for wheelchair users) overground or Bethnal Green tube. The number 8, 388 and D3 buses stop on Bethnal Green road 2 minutes walk from the church and are step-free vehicles.

VENUE ENTRY:  The main front gate of the church will be locked. Walk to the right hand side of the church (as you face it) where there is a gate to enter.

Accessibility: The main space is fully wheelchair accessible. Toilet is not currently accessible.

YOUR LEADER

A 5th generation Londoner with Nigerian heritage, Joy Nkoyo is a composer, musician, vocalist, BBC Proms pundit, and podcaster. She has been commissioned by the British Music Collection, Spitalfields Music Festival, and Sound and Music, with her music being performed in prestigious UK venues such as King’s Place and Lyric Hammersmith.

Joy has also received acclaim for her songwriting and music production, with nominations for the Glastonbury Emerging Talent Competition and Youth Music Awards, as well as a residency at The Roundhouse. 

I’m really excited to be leading the Shoreditch choir in September! Everyone I’ve met so far at Some Voices has been so welcoming and friendly, I feel like I’m joining the coolest tribe. I can’t wait to experience the magic of being part of a choir.
