Earlier this year Some Voices tragically lost a member and friend of our community to a very rare but very serious mental health condition. Postpartum Psychosis is a severe, but treatable, form of mental illness that occurs after having a baby. It can happen ‘out of the blue’ to women without previous experience of mental illness, and affects 1,400 woman every year in the UK.
This term we are proudly supporting ‘Action on Postpartum Psychosis’ who offer vital support for families affected by the illness, as well as fund life- changing research and training.
In order to raise as much money as possible we need a few people each night to help us. This will include helping sell gig prints and bucket collecting. You can help out on a night you are performing this will just be before and after the show, or on a night you aren't singing.
