Romeo + Juliet – The Clore Ballroom

A night inside the soundtrack of the greatest love story ever told.

Step inside the Masquerade Ball and be part of an immersive event that places you at the heart of Shakespeare’s family feud.

High-energy indie choir Some Voices take over Southbank Centre with their choral re-telling of Baz Luhrmann’s much-loved film Romeo + Juliet, starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Claire Danes.

Young hearts run free in Royal Festival Hall as the historic venue offers exclusive access to ticket holders for this event. Come dressed as either a Montague (Hawaiian-inspired glamour) or a Capulet (neo-goth Mafiosi) and join over 150 voices, complete with live band, as you encounter performance poets and side with feuding b-boys. Walk down an aisle lit by neon crosses, inhale the burning incense and stand side by side with other family members to re-live this tragic tale.

In a show that features ‘Kissing You’, ‘Lovefool’ and ‘Everybody’s Free’ as well as an original arrangement of Jeff Buckley’s ‘Hallelujah’, Some Voices bring a spectacular tale of romance to Festival of Love.

This is a promenade performance.

Nine years down the line, more than 1500 singers are now part of the exciting ensemble that performs on some of the biggest stages in London. KOKO, The Southbank Centre, Oval Space,The Rivoli Ballroom, The Grand Clapham, HERE and The Troxy have all seen the group attract audiences in their thousands
