Something to Shout About! Rising Tide

The wonderful , super duper membership master Al has recently opened an MMA (Mixed Martial Arts) club in Peckham Rye called Rising Tide, and would love to see some of your friendly faces dowj there if you have an interest in the arts.

With over 11 years Martial Arts experience & once a contender for the English Welterweight title, Al has fought on some of the UK's leading Martial Arts promotions.

His classes are designed to cultivate confidence in our capital & broaden the skill-sets of anyone that fancies giving it a go - from complete beginner to experienced Martial Artist.

Apart from being a lot of fun and a great way to learn self-defense, the classes are great for fitness, strength/conditioning, and gaining a legitimate understanding of multi-disciplined combat.

The classes will draw assets from Boxing / Kickboxing / Muay Thai / Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu / Olympic-style wrestling, and will be delivered on a rolling syllabus to cater for people of all levels & backgrounds.

Rising Tide club is sanctioned by the BMABA (British Martial Arts & Boxing Association), and all instructors hold a black belt (where applicable) / equivalent or above, as well as years of active experience competing at a high level.

Classes are on Wednesdays 7.30 - 8.30pm, First session is FREE (£7 after), pay as you go!

Some Voices

SOME VOICES started small in 2010, with seven chorus members meeting up to perform original arrangements of popular classics that range from Bowie to Bjork, from Stevie Wonder to Stevie Nicks, from Folk to Hip Hop, and everything in between - all with a Some Voices twist.

Nine years down the line, more than 1500 singers are now part of the exciting ensemble that performs on some of the biggest stages in London. KOKO, The Southbank Centre, Oval Space,The Rivoli Ballroom, The Grand Clapham, HERE and The Troxy have all seen the group attract audiences in their thousands
