Pop in to Amy's vintage dress rental pop-up!

Hi! I'm Amy, A1 who for this Spring Term is doing choir remotely! Just wanted to shout about my fledgling business www.rentaswag.co.uk that I launched in Sept 2021 - @rentaswag.uk on Insta.

It’s predominantly an online dress rental service (occasion wear), but I do have a private little studio based in Bromley, SE London as well should you wish to peruse the rails in person!

I’m having my first ever pop-up shop on Saturday 19th February over in Bromley (only few minutes walk from Bromley South Train Station). There'll be a 15% off discount for any bookings taken at the event so do drop by if you can! Thanks, hope to see some familiar faces soon :) xx

Becky is running in this year's London Marathon - at last!

Hi I’m Becky and I’ve got a place in the London Marathon, finally! I’ve been in the ballot ever since I moved to London but managed to secure a charity place through the British Heart Foundation after my Mum was diagnosed with a rare genetic disorder last year. Thankfully it’s scheduled for October this year so lots of time before training starts! Wish me luck!

If you would like to sponsor me, that would be amazing, my fundraising page is here.

New Member Liliana is getting married in October

Hi, I’m Liliana, I'm new to Some Voices this term and I’m getting married in October! My maid of honour and closest friend Jackie and I are joining the Woolwich choir together.

I'm Portuguese but I have been living in London for the last 12 years. My fiance is English and one of the best people I have ever met. He is truly my partner in crime, from the lows of a stressful job or sick days to the silly laughters and 30 second dances for no reason at all. We met in January 2020 just before covid but have been through so much together in a short amount of time as we become each other's bubble through the restrictions.

See Jan perform in Treasure Island at Rotherhithe Playhouse

I’m Jan, I joined the Shoreditch choir last term and loved it. This term my great friend Lissy is joining us, so it’ll be even better!

I’m performing in Treasure Island with Rotherhithe Playhouse later this month, I play three piratical parts and sing a song all about cheese!

Our pre-Christmas run was cut short by COVID, so we’re back with four more late January performances.

Friday 28th January 7:30pm (post show mingle with drinks and nibbles)

Saturday 29th January 2:30pm & 6:30pm

Sunday 30th January 2:30pm

Rotherhithe Playhouse, The Ship (rear courtyard), Saint Marychurch Street, London SE16

Tickets: www.rotherhitheplayhouse.com

Ticket prices: pay-what-you-can (£5 - £25) or free for families accessing free school meals and/or people using food banks.

Running time: 1 hour 15 minutes (no interval)

Our pop-up venue is a large tent located in the rear courtyard of The Ship, a lovely family friendly pub in Rotherhithe (5-mins walk from the Overground station). Access to the show is via the side garden gate and drink can be brought round from the bar. As we’re an outdoor venue, we have the benefit of lots of ventilation but you do also need to wrap up warmly to enjoy our shows. We have comfortable seats and heaters but it’s still January!
